Kinelux, and the three tools it brings together, RushTag, Synchromatic and LumaSync, are published by Monsieur Pickles, registered in France under SIRET 539 828 186 00038, established at 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France, and contacted at hello@monsieurpickles.dev.
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, United States. The application file is served by Cloudflare, Inc.
Using this website or the application means accepting these terms in the version published on the day of your purchase.
Kinelux is an application for macOS that brings together three tools, each in its own window.
RushTag analyses your rushes on your Mac, cuts them into shots and records for each one the setting, the shot size, the people, what happens and what is said. It lets you search them and carry what it found into an editing program.
Synchromatic works out which video and audio files were recorded at the same moment by correlating their sound, and produces a timeline you can import into an editing program as FCPXML or FCP7 XML.
LumaSync compares two cameras at the same instant of the shoot, measures what separates them and produces a correction as a 3D LUT and an ASC CDL.
The application also provides plug-ins for Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, installed from its home window.
None of the tools modifies your source files. They write separate files, projects, XML, LUTs or previews, that point at them.
Each tool is sold on its own, and Kinelux brings all three together in a single purchase. What you pay for decides which tools your key opens: the key for one tool does not open the other two. A tool bought later is added at its own price, without taking anything away from what you already have.
The download is the same for everyone and contains all three tools.
A key bought before Kinelux, for Synchromatic alone or for Synchromatic and LumaSync, keeps opening exactly what it opened.
Synchromatic can be downloaded and used without paying. In that state the measured offsets are hidden and XML export is disabled. Everything else works.
RushTag and LumaSync only open with a key that covers them. Without one, the home window presents them and leads to their page.
Buying gives you a licence key. It opens the tools you bought, in the version you bought and in every later release sharing its major version number, on as many Macs as you personally own or use, for as long as you like. There is no subscription and no expiry.
The key contains the email address you bought with and the tools you bought. It is checked by the application itself, offline, against a signature. Nothing is sent anywhere when you enter it.
The key is personal. Publishing it, selling it, or sharing it outside the machines you use ends the licence.
Purchases made on this website are concluded with Link, a Stripe service, which resells the tools in its own name: it takes the payment, applies and remits the tax of the buyer's country, and sends you the receipt. Its terms govern the sale itself; these terms govern what you buy and how you use it.
The price shown on this website includes any applicable tax and is the price you pay.
We never see or hold your card details. Your receipt carries the reference you will need if you ever have to recover your key.
Delivery is immediate: the key appears on the confirmation page as soon as the payment is accepted, and can be emailed back to the purchase address at any time.
Because the application is digital content delivered immediately, by completing the purchase you expressly ask for delivery to begin at once and you acknowledge that you thereby lose the fourteen day right of withdrawal set out in article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.
This does not touch the legal guarantees below. If a tool you bought does not work on a Mac that meets the stated requirements and we cannot fix it, you get your money back. Write to hello@monsieurpickles.dev.
You may install and use the application on the Macs you use, examine what it does, and keep using the version you bought indefinitely.
You may not resell, rent out or redistribute the application or your key, remove or hide the legal notices it displays, or try to defeat the licence check. Interoperability work permitted by article L122-6-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code is expressly reserved and not restricted here.
RushTag downloads its analysis models from Hugging Face the first time you ask it to. Those models are distributed by their authors, under their own licences, not by us.
RushTag's face recognition is off by default, project by project. If you turn it on, you are processing biometric data about the people filmed: it is up to you to be entitled to do so, in particular under the General Data Protection Regulation. The faces stay in the project, on your Mac.
If you connect Kinelux to Anthropic's Claude application, what Claude reads is passed to it under your Claude account and under Anthropic's terms. The connection is optional and is switched off from the home window.
The plug-ins for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve act inside programs published by others, whose behaviour may change from one version to the next. We are not liable for what those programs do with the files and settings the plug-ins hand them.
Kinelux embeds Qt, through PySide6, and ffmpeg, both used under the GNU Lesser General Public License, along with other open source libraries and face detection and recognition models, each under its own licence. Their notices and the full text of their licences are inside the application, on the Legal notices screen of the Help menu.
As the GNU Lesser General Public License requires, the sources of Qt and ffmpeg, and the object code needed to relink the application against your own build of them, are available on request at hello@monsieurpickles.dev.
You keep the full benefit of the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code). Nothing here reduces them.
Beyond that, the application is supplied as it is. What it produces is a measurement or an automatic description, not a certainty: synchronisation reports a confidence for every match, colour correction a measured gap, and RushTag's descriptions, tags and transcripts are written by models that can be wrong. Check what you deliver.
We are not liable for indirect damage, for lost time or lost work, or for anything a third party program does with the files produced. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the price you paid.
Updates sharing the major version number of the one you bought are published on this website, the application tells you when one is out, and they are free for the tools your key opens.
A future release changing the major version number may be a paid upgrade. The version you bought keeps working, unchanged, whatever we do next.
You can stop using the application at any time. Your licence ends if you redistribute your key or defeat the licence check, and in that case no refund is due.
These terms are governed by French law.
If something goes wrong, write to hello@monsieurpickles.dev first: nearly everything is settled that way. Failing that, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator. As a last resort, the competent courts are those provided for by law.
These terms may change. The version that binds a purchase is the one published on the day of that purchase, and past versions are kept and sent on request.
